you know shipping priority or first class is only about $2.5 in a bubble mailer. instead of profiting from us ship it at a fair rate.

shipping priority is 4.80 everytime i do it. it is 2.19-2.50 ground. if i wanted to profit on shipping i would sell them all on ebay

P.S. Anything rigid or 3/4" thick cannot be shipped as a large envelope (that is reserved for flexible things like documents) it must be shipped as a package. If it weighs 1 ounce it costs $1.17 and each ounce after that is $ .17. I ship baseball cards all the time and they are rigid so I have to send them as package instead of large envelope.

last i shipped a disc was in a bubble-padded envelope, first class...from louisville, ky to jersey was 2.19...got there in 2 days i think...i have shipped several this way, never any complaints from the USPS on thickness...envelope can be had for 1.59 at the post office, or much cheaper if you get it at walmart or similar...you cna get a disc shipped first class for under 3 bucks pretty much anywhere in the continental US...
BTW, its your plastic, but you can get new champ plastic from DGC for 12.99 w/ free shipping, and you get to choose color and weight...and they have LIGHTNING fast delivery...if you are willing to deal on the double stamped wraith, let me know...

No I am not saying you cant put it in an envelope or bubble mailer, but the proper terminology si that it is a package not a large envelope, even though it is in an envelope.

if you take measurements with a bubble mailer and a disc in it it fits in the criteria for a large envelope. either way first class shipping is less than 3 bucks.

Hmm, I thought it was thicker than 3/4" but it is also rigid. Obviously a 150 disc should cost less than a 180.
I have yet to ship any discs so I have no idea myself, but the few I have ordered have been anywhere from $1.70 something to like $2.30 ish. They were all shipped in bubble mailer or simple USPS envelope sleeve.

Mailing a disc in a typical padded envelope falls under this clause of the USPS:
"First-Class Mail Package rates (http://postcalc.usps.gov/MailServices.aspx?Country=Domestic&M=1&P=0&O=8&OZ=77477&DZ=44260&MailingDate=2/5/2009&MailingTime=17:00&char=30) apply to Large Envelopes that are rigid, nonrectangular, or not uniformly thick."
From both a "rigid" and "not uniformly thick" perspective. Thus shipping a typical disc via First-Class in a padded envelope is usually run you $2.36.

Sounds like a lot for shipping to me, and the prices are a little steep compared to a lot of used disc I have seen before.
Good luck getting rid of those.
Interested in a trade...your star Max for a lightly used Boss?...wouldnt have to worry about money switching around.
EDIT: Just posted on your other thread not realizing it was the same person.

first class may be cheaper but i have had things delivered first class and get to me in 5 days. priority is guaranteed 2-3 days and its still under 5 bucks. if you dont want to spend that much then that is fine, but i dont see the need for you to tell me im profiting off shipping. i ship priority which is 4.80-5 bucks. one of the ones i shipped today was 4.95 from TX to WI.

Apparently some of you have never mailed a disc before. By the time you buy the envelope, spend gas to go to the post office, and pay for postage, most people end up losing money on shipping.
It also does not hurt to upgrade to the better packaging (bubble mailers or boxes) to protect discs, but that also costs more.
The cheapest I have ever mailed a disc is $2.19 + the cost of the envelope $0.50 (and that is the cheap envelopes made for paper!)
I think the shipping costs are fair. Remember the discs are discounted being used, you don't have to pay tax, and in the end you don't have to buy them if you think it is too expensive.
Also, on E-bay, often people make shipping costs higher since E-bay only profits off the auction price, not shipping. ($5 disc + $5 shipping) vs ($9 disc + $1 shipping) Both examples the buyer pays the seller $10, but the seller loses less to e-bay in the first example.

I keep all my incoming padded envelopes and recycle/reuse them for outgoing disc shipments. My envelope cost = $0. :)

I find it about $2.59 w/out the envelope first class for one disc and about $4.79 for two.

padded mailers can be gotten online for as little as $22.00 per hundred (plus shipping). first class for one disc in a padded mailer was $2.19 on Monday when i sent one to valkfb. i had to buy some mailers at office max because i was out and they were roughly $.60 each. once i have to take it to the post office i'd say i'm taking a small loss on shipping for $3.00.
