So which Roc's are flat top anyway? And do they make any in champion plastic? I heard the 2002 USDCG Roc's were flat top, but they're way to expensive.
I've got a couple champion Roc's and some are less domey than others, but I wouldn't consider any of them flat top. Any information would be much appreciated.

"Flat top" Roc's are also called "Rancho" Roc's (made in Rancho Cucamonga). "Rancho's" are my preference. I have a nice DX Ice Bowl Rancho Roc that just flys straight & long with very little fade. Awesome pices of plastic!

Awesome pices of plastic!Kinda, sorta. The flat tops are Ranchos, but they are the ones that have the full color stamps. The full color process flattens the tops. They are also called "Ching" Rocs because Ching marketed the original full color discs. So the term "Rancho Roc" does not refer to the flat top Rocs, but the term "Ching Roc" does.
It can be confusing because if you set a regular DX San Marino, Ontario and Rancho Roc next to each other and say "pick out the flat one," you would pick out the Rancho. They start out pretty darn flat (at least they used to, I've been getting some domey ones recently.)
Anyway, shameless disc plug...I've heard they are discontinuing the full color process that creates the Ching Rocs. A good substitute is the Millennium Sentinel MF. I always used a Ching or KC Roc for my overstable mid, but I've found the Sentinel to be faster, longer and more predictable. If you are looking for a more overstable Roc, a Q Sentinel is the ticket.

I am a big fan of the Q Sentinel as well. My entire bag is Innova except when it comes to midranges now. I still have my beat KC Roc for turnovers, but I can't play a round without a Q Sentinel and a Z Buzzz.
