Was super glad to meet up with 2/3rds of Mashnut (unfortunately Peanut the dawg had other social engagements ;)), GoodDriveBadPutt, Lindsey, Mondo97, Fatboy, Noill, WCG, Archy and others. As the group was milling around waiting to leave for Trinity, some random guy walked up to us and asked if we knew of DGCR.

"Some random guy" ended up being BogeyNoMore, down from Michigan on a roadtrip. So he joined us and we caravaned (the sight of which was quite humoro(u)s) to Trinity. Overall, it was a swell time with a swell bunch of humans being. ;)

Definitely, and it was 9, I threw a (you guessed it) wizard on a big hyzer out to the right and it just crashed right into the middle of the chains. There's just enough of a window through that clump of bushes that we could see it hit.

There were 2 aces on #9 on Saturday. The first one was on the first hole of the tourney!!!

7 total aces on Saturday between 3 divisions. I think there were only 2 on Sunday. Fairfield was just begging to give away the big IOS ace fund!

And of course, none for me as usual at my home course. One of these days....

Yeah, I struggled with my ratings on both West and Trinity. I wanted to give them higher ratings, but based on how I've rated all the rest of my courses, I just couldn't give them anything higher based on the poor teepad conditions.

I even slept on it for a night...that's why I'm posting them today instead of yesterday. Don't want to be a douche, but I've gotta stay true to my rating rubric! :\

It's just a fancy way of saying I follow the same procedures/checkpoints for each course I review, i.e. I'm not weighing one factor higher for some courses and lower for others. :)

Edit: It's not really a formula or anything. I do it all in my head. It's basically just my natural assessment of the course, keeping an eye out for certain things.

I totally loved Silver. Red made my personal favs list as well. Also liked Blue, but didn't want to prostitute my favorites list. White may not be particularly special, but it's certainly a good course on it's own, and it fits in as a great change of pace.

Each course has a distinctly unique design and feel to it, playing to (or exploiting) a player's different strengths and weaknesses. Factor in pristine care and maintenance, clean, convenienty located rest rooms, quiet scenic setting and... as a destination, I can't imagine many places rival Lemon Lake. Mason County Park with Beauty, Beast and Goliath come to mind... I'd say they're on par with Lemon, but they simply aren't as 'polished' as Lemon is.

If I'm not mistaken RLWP is pretty close. Wish I had more time, but I simply wasn't able to get to it. If it's as good as reviews/ratings indicate... well, then - that's a nice pot o'disc golf honey those boys on NW Indiana have!

Agreed as an individual course to any individual course at lemon. but lemon as a disc golf destination....hot damn! By the end of 2011, I may only have to go to Highbridge once. Bart and the crew are doing some great stuff there.

I also think the last 6 holes almost ruins RLW. almost. I am going to start playing 19-24 as my warm up before being tore up by that course.

Do all the locals skip playing hole 1 there? I saw four groups go straight to hole 2 while I was there. That pond is not that scary.
