This is a little late being posted as we are already into our 10th month of development.

Located at Community Park in Fairborn Ohio, this DGC was funded by donation made by various local businesses. $18K of the $26K we had donated came from Handyman Ace Hardware which is why the name.

It was a design by committee project that will be officially open in the next several weeks.

Concrete Pads (long and short)
A minimum of 2 pins at each hole (with 3 on several).
Platinum Level Tee Signs
Benches and Trash Cans at each Pad.
Additional Trees planted to help soak up standing water
Measures around 7800' in length

The course was designed for Pro's but the short tees allow for an AM player to enjoy the same amount of challenge. It has been toured and previewed by a few PDGA pro's from our local area. All of which have attested to this course being "worlds caliber".

All the holes have been drilled. 16 of 18 holes have been cleared. And about 1/4 of the pads have been poured.

We will be holding an event in October or Early November to officially open the course for play. I will post a note about the date when it is determined.

We have started installing Pin Sleeves! Making good progress.

I m looking at the course right now and I see a 5 followed by 2 reviews of less than 2 discs.

1. Are the fairways really as bad as described or are these reviewers sucky noobs?
2. How can this course be a 5 if there are no designated fairways?

I need some input on this course, the reviews were lame. they conflicted each other at some points and others said the same thing but gave VERY different scores. Only a few reviewers I would trust.

I just played this course again last week. My rating in my review months ago was a 3.5 and I see no reason to increase it. Some fairways are still not defined.

so it does not deserve all the 5's nor the .5-1.5's

There are 17 reviews of 4 or higher, only 2 reviews 2-3.5, and 3 reviews at 1.5 or under. 5 people called this course perfection!

0-1.5 = 3
2-3.5 = 2
4-5 = 17

Just the fact that this course has Tees and baskets makes it higher than a 1.
But if it is a "work in progress" it is not a 5 because 5 means perfection.

When this course is finished it will be one of the top 5 rated courses in the State, and Top 10 rated in the country. SHOWS WAY to much HBB

I've only played it once, but I'd say 3.5 is a fair rating for this course.
It's fun, challenging, and worth a round for sure.
