Just wondering if anyone dyes or colors their own discs? I found some nice dying guides online but would rather just paint something on since it won't stain anything. Anybody have any tips?
I'm not familiar with the process at all but I'd imagine painting might screw up the weight distribution of the disc to a degree. Of course, I could be wrong and hopefully someone more knowledgeable can chime in.

Thats what I was worried about, or it having that extra layer could mess with the flight pattern. Just wondering if it was possible as an alternative to dying.

dyeing is the way to go...if you want to paint it on, you can just dilute some rit in acetone and apply it like a watercolor. I've seen some amazing disc art done this way. Any other paint, in addition to adding weight/friction, I can't see staying on the plastic well. Anything that would stay on, would be just as staining as the dye. I guess you could color with Sharpie as an alternative.

Thanks, if I can apply it like paint then it should work out well enough. Might try the sharpies as well :D
