Who hates the other more?
I know there is not much to do about damp grass...it sucks:thmbdown:
Then there's sandy teepads....uh ummm...sucks:thmbdown:
If you're with sandy teepads as a bigger nuisance, I have known of leagues asking local companies to donate their old brooms bound for the dumpster. Some would say go out and buy them (beware of dollar store brooms), but there are ninja morons out on the course thinking the brooms are for playtime.
This may be a regional thing, as all of BC and Kzoo Metro area has NONE....up north at flip and whitehall within a half hour of each other...every hole has a broom?:D
I used to carry a broken off broom brush from the dollar store, but no one cares if no one cares:(

Thumbs down to wet grass. Sandy teepads can be dealt with and don't really bother me, but playing a round in waterlogged shoes when the weather is great really sucks.

One more vote for wet grass being worse, I've never fallen on sandy concrete but I have many times on wet grass.

x step of doom = wet grass
day at the beach (or sandy teepads) = sandy crevices

Even wiping sand off, the t-pad is still slick. At least the one I'm talking about. If you've got the right shoes -- with grip and teeth -- you can usually dig through the slick grass and at least catch some sort of decent foot plant, when throwing.
Sand on pads, sucks. The worst I know of is at Weathorford DGC, west of fort worth. Hole number 17. ALWAYS SAND ON IT!!! It's like tossing from a bar's shuffle board table.
In most cases, sand and water are equally lame. IMO.

But the wet grass doesn't stay wet. A few hours of sunshine, and it's fine. Sand, on the other hand, rarely evaporates.

what about a wet, slippery brick? i almost did the splits during an x-step cause the bricks had dew on them :wall: only 2 of the probably 100 bricks on this teepad are slippery, but they're right in the middle...in the shape of an "11" for hole 11...dangerous

With ten times the posts that I have, I doubt you have time to be THAT good, but maybe we can set up a round for some cash. As long as the teepads are swept and the grass is dry, I would be more than happy to take your money. You'll be sick of more than just a rhyno after I am done with you.

I've already responded to this via PM but I'll go ahead and answer your OP since I neglected to do that in my trolling post.
I'll take sandy tees over wet grass, any day of the week. I don't even notice tees being sandy really thanks to my Moab tread.

Crushed stone tee pads don't care if there is a little sand on them as well
