Probably the most time I've put into a dyed disc. Not perfect, but I'm happy. Thanks to Vettekrazy for the template.

Great job! How long did it take? It looks clean, there are some tough cuts on that one. Good project for confidence building!:D
Also, great job on the lettering.

It probably took just over 4 hours. I need new contact paper, I have the clear but the backing has blue lettering and is hard to see through to trace the image onto it. I had to use the outside edge to trace Buzz onto it and then overlap other contact paper on the edges. Some of the water got through and that's why the line is there on top of the lettering at the top of the disc.

The Red letters, really help set it off.
I have found a nice way to transfer a design on to contact paper without mess and you can get the image where you want it. Once you find your image...print it out on paper and on the back, take a pencil and color the entire back of it. Place it where you want on the contact paper and trace over your image. It acts like carbon paper and gives you a ligt tracing on your contact paper...since it is pencil, if you mess up in a place you can erase or whatever to get it the way you want. Now you are ready to cut. It works great for me

I was planing on making this dye this week but simple logic tells me I can't go to infinity and beyond.
Nice job! Glad I did a search to get an idea!

That's way cool.
I thought of doing one of these but the way I wanted to do it (purple/green/black and flesh tone on white pearly disc or white esp) was WAY beyond my meager skills...
Now you gotta dye a 'R-woody aviar' so they can pal out while saving the galaxy in yer bag
