I just wrote out a fairly thorough tutorial on how to dye your own discs using the methods I use.

Gwillim's How-To (dye a disc) (http://blog.ryangwillim.com/?p=309)

Feel free to comment on that page if you have any questions. Disc dying is really fun and I suggest everyone give it a try!!

Nice post, I still struggle with the rainbow stamps. How do you take those off without leaving a ghost?

I've never had a problem with champion plastic. However, with white Star plastic I'm kind of hit and miss and I don't do anything differently.

I dye about 90% of the time with champion plastic though, so I've not tried too many things to fix the white/star plastic with the rainbow stamp.

Most likely got some of the newly transitioned dye, this thread (http://www.dgcoursereview.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38339) has some info. You have to open the box and inspect the paper packaging containing the dye, if there is an ND after the color and # it is the new dye, don't buy, don't bother using it, it will not work on discs.

Package on the left is bad, right is good.

Great tutorial Gwillim, one of the first I read and I got a lot out of it.
