Last night I posted a thread about upgrading drivers http://www.dgcoursereview.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21997
I went out today with only my putter to try and see if I could get some more distance. I started releasing it on much more of a hyzer than usual and to my surprise, it corrected and flew straighter than I have ever seen myself throw before!!! Before it would just trail off to the right. Now it looks like it's supposed to. I even aced one (in my backyard) from about 150ft! Big thanks to Mike C. His video is more helpful than the the discraft, if only for showing what a putter can do! I can't wait until tonight when I can go down to the football field and see what my drivers can do.

I LOVE when I read something on here, and then try it in the field and get results. Good for you!

Why don't you see what your mids can do, too. ;)
All that vid was missing was a roll of credits at the end full of Wizards.

lol i like to think of these forums as one big convo around the campfire...
gotta demonstrate full balance behind the mark inside of 30'. that means be at rest, behind the mark, and then go past it.
not get your momentum going forward, release and then continue forward, without stopping behind the mark to show full balance.
dasa falling putt.

I thought he made putting, even longer ones look effortless. I need to get out there and play a round with him some time, but I have to admit, it is a little intimidating to watch him park holes with a Wizard that I have a hard time with my longest disc.

You just described playing a round with DiscJon from here...and it's made me so much better of a player it's not even funny.
...too bad he went back to school *grr*

Well, I hate for this thread to turn into a discussion on Mike C's putting form. The main idea here is DGCR = results.

Glad you saw good results! Keep throwing those putters, and don't be afraid to try thumbers, forehands, fh and bh rollers too.
I'm playing with all putters for the next week or two, and already from doing it the past few days it's made me realize how much I under utilize them. I've surprised myself putting some good drives out there on holes I normally reach for my buzz. It's really fun seeing what you can make a putter do.

I agree. I was hitting distances today that I usually reserve for my roc or even teebird.

And if you stay in school and don't do drugs then one day you too can throw like a shaven silverback gorilla!

:hfive: I`ll second that, DGCR is the most important resource I have to build my skills, and I can say without any doubt that DGCR put a Comet in my hands. Hell I didn`t know a midrange would go 300 ft. Now better golfers than me ask advice cuz now I know stuff. and it`s like cool.
