What are the pros and cons of going heavy...I just bought a bunch of 180g....I was wondering what the advantage disadvantage of these are for putting, mid-range, and of course driving....it blows me away that a few grams make such a difference!

lighter discs are easier to wear in, and become more understable quicker than heavier discs. that's probably the main difference.
I've also found a few other differences that aren't as significant, and might just be personal preference.
-heavier discs drop faster, so for putters i tend to stay away from anything over 175.
-when putting, i think that lighter discs fall into the left side of the basket more (for a RHBH putter) than heavier discs do. it seems like, because the discs are so light, the chains stop them dead in their tracks and they fall in. i'm not 100% sure on this though
-because the heavier discs drop faster, i like heavy midranges. They don't fly away like crazy, and they drop down instead of floating past the basket.
-drivers are really hard to choose which weight (in my opinion). you want drivers that won't be affected by the wind, so you want heavier drivers, but you also want drivers that you can get distance with, so you want to go lighter. which leads me to another point
-heavier discs are more predictable. not by a lot, and obviously much more is determined by how you throw the disc than 5g of weight, but it's a difference.
-distance isn't affected a lot by weight. i've thrown a 165 wraith, turned around and picked up a 170 wraith and threw it, and did this numerous times, and the 165 wraith consistently beat the 170-but only by about 3-5 feet each time, with a max of about 9-10. so it's not much, but i can easily notice a difference. hope this helps.
