My buddy and I played Liberty Park in Cerritos yesterday, as a part of our continuing crusade to play and review all of the DG courses in Southern California.
Two funny sights:
- their lights look like really tall DG baskets, and
- while you rarely see actual "out of bounds" signs, this sign and it's partner show us Liberty is serious about OOB's!
Otherwise, the park is only so-so, a short urban course with poor markings. That said, it's pretty and the grass is so healthy and thick that it's spongy underfoot on most of the course. Combined with gentle unobstructed slopes, it's a fun course for rollers and attempted aces. The locals mave made up their own longer course using existing tees and baskets -- next time we'll ask to play with them.
See more in our review, posted today.
Enjoy!
