If anyone would be willing to play a round with a beginner and help give some helpful tips on technique let me know. I live in NJ and can play at South Vineland, Sedgley Woods, Tinicum, Tyler State Park (those are the places i've played and know how to get to). I played golf/ball golf for years and could never learn just by watching a video. I had to have someone there telling me what I was doing wrong. I have a very weird work schedule but usally i'm free monday till 4 and tuesday (all day). The other days my schedule is very flexible so I may not be certain about when I can play. I just can't seem to figure my technique out very well. Thanks guys!

You have the right idea lefty. I played in a tournament this past weekend and ran into a guy who plays MA1 but was a caddie for his wife since he hurt himself recently. He was able to point out some things to me and also helped my mental game as well. Never stop looking for players who are better than you to play with.

Find a local club and go play a tourney. Ice bowls are great for learning. I imagine though they are mostly over. I playerd one this past winter and really learned alot about mechanics and ediquette on the course. The guys i played with where very patient with me especcially when i made some really stupid rookie mistakes like talking when someone is ready to putt or throwing when it was not my turn. It taught me alot and hopefully now that my elbow is feeling better I will do a tourney or two later this summer.

Lefty, I play once or twice a week at FDR State Park, in Yorktown Heights, NY. I usually play Wednesdays, and/or Saturdays. I'm not sure how long a drive that is for you, but if you ever find yourself in that area, definitely message me.

Discjon. Thanks for the invite! I mapped out the route and it said it would take 2 1/2 hours so that could be a lil far, especially since I'd have to deal with NYC traffic. However! I may go to my grandmothers for Easter weekend and she lives in Rochester. I noticed that's where it says you are located.

I go to school in White Plains, NY, but over the summer I live in Rochester, NY. Unfortunately, on Easter weekend I will still be at school in White Plains. If we wanted to find a course between our locations, or if you're ever visiting Rochester during the summer, we could definitely work something out.

The friends of Sedgley Woods are some of the best folk in disc golf, just show up to one of their scheduled rounds and make your intentions known... you'll surely get the results you are looking for that way.
