Camp Time Stools

I see lots of people carrying around Camp Time stools when they play. Camp Time has been making the ROLL-A-STOOL® (23oz) and PACK STOOL™ (14oz) (http://camptime.com/roll-a-stool.htm) for a while now.

Recently they've added a new 10.5oz Mini-Lite Hiking Stool™ (http://campspecialties.com/hiking_stool.htm). Same Camp Time quality in a smaller size and less weight.

The first time I saw those I thought, "People will do anything to ball-golf-up this sport." Yet, I can see wanting to kick back when play is going slow, like at a tournament.

They're also good for keeping your bag out of the mud when you have to set it down to throw. I haven't actually used it while playing yet; I bought it for my girlfriend to use and she likes it a lot. She said that the Mini Stool and the Quad Shocks (http://phenixdiscsports.com/quadshocks.html) have enabled her to play longer rounds more easily.

I ended up getting a second Mini-Lite Hiking Stool for myself. Still the lightest one I've seen. It's a bit small for holding my big DISCarrier bag off the ground but does work, you just have to balance the bag in the middle. It is small enough to easily carry, but I don't usually do so unless I anticipate a lot of waiting around.

So I have to ask before ever getting one of these...does these keep from getting too dirty to carry? I would think that if the ground was wet at all, it would bring the dirt with it. I wonder why the feet are not wider and flatter too? Hmmm, I guess it still beats sitting on the ground if the round is going slow.

If the ground is muddy the stool's feet will get dirty, no way around that. If it's reaaaly muddy they'll sink a bit too. Pretty much what you'd expect. But they clean off easily under a hose or tub faucet.

this is what i use, it hangs over the biggest bag and is lightweight. it doesnt get in the way, and lets face it, once you hit 40 you gotta have something to sit on!!! :);)lighterweight than the three legged kind, maybe not as lightweight as that mini three legged on there. ive never seen that one.

I thought about trying to rubberize the bottom of my bag with some of the paint on rubber bed liner like they use for pick ups. Anybody ever try this or seen it done already?

I'm curious to see the bag in person and how much pocket space it has compared to my Innova DISCarrier.

On the rubberizing topic... I've got a bunch of Storm Guard (http://www.gaf.com/Content/GAF/RES1/ROOF/stormguard.html) left over after making roof repairs to my house thanks to Hurricane Ike. I was contemplating putting that on the bottom of my DISCarrier bag to waterproof it.
