I'm in town visiting family. Not sure if there are any members from here on here. But I am going to Walnut Creek Park tomorrow, going to tee off between 8 and 8:30 hopefully. Let me know.

Try not to cream your pants on the last 3 holes. Be sure to find the long tees for 16 and 18. Great course. Enjoy.

Walnut creek is great. I am in lynchburg and will not be able to make it upthere in the morning. If you want to come down and play Liberty university later in the day I would meet up and play with you. It is a good course especially considering how new it is.

wish I could, but I'm only available to play from 8-12, then I have to go to dinner and head back to Chicago. But thanks for the offer! any tips on the course?

Lmao, didn't see your post optidisc, why would I cream my pants? That awesome, or would it be a feargasm?

Also - mods feel free to delete this thread so this section isn't overflowed with uesless one day meet up threads. I know it annoys me, just wanted to see if anyone wanted to come play with us, as there is no VA meet up thread

17 is the coolest hole I've ever played.

17 is the coolest hole I've ever played.

that's pretty sad since it's the dumbest hole in disc golf. Anyone can throw to the bottom of a hill. The basket needs to be somewhere on the side of the hill so you have to throw to a spot not just throw.

side of the hill= on the dam= no-no there oh wise one...

Build a platform for the basket. At the last tourney there I threw a forehand to it one round and a backhand the other. I also won the CTP. It's just too easy. Everyone gets excited about throwing down a hill. It needs to be a challenge.

because it's a par 2 450ft hole.

I live in Lynchburg (about an hour from C'Ville) and I have never played Walnut Creek. If you want to play a challenging course close to Lynchburg I would recommend Elk Creek in Appomattox or Liberty University's new course.

16 = downhill valley tree corridor premium on holding your line
17= extreme downhill adrenaline rush with water at bottom of fast fairway
18= 2 placement shots over deep water to a protected lakeside basket

17 if on the side of a steeply pitched dam would play unfair and unreasonable and too much luck would be involved. I've played many hillside greens that would not be a good basket location.

It's fun and perfect the way it is.

No trolls welcome. Especially not ones sponsored by discrap.

biscoe - I'm extremely jealous that you LIVE in spotsylvania. I need to get out there soon, seems like a great place to live for dg.

I am glad you enjoyed they course. I always have fun when I get up there. 17 is always harder when you have high winds.

The corp of engineers probably would frown at a hillside hole placement, but I do love the long basket for 18. I still have never seen any one go for it from the tee.

we are fortunate enough to have good people here who work hard at making it great for disc golf.

to answer a previous question - downers grove is about 15-40 minutes away from wheaton depending on where in wheaton you're talking about
