I am looking for a Champion Cobra. I went to buy one and can't seem to find them at my usual online stores. If anyone has a Champion Cobra between 170g-172g that they want to trade or sell, please send me a PM. I have a Discraft Elize-Z Avenger in great shape, purple with white standard stamp, unknown weight to trade, or an EliteX Buzz (Peach Color) and EliteX Comet (Yellow), both in good shape, unknown weight.

I'll trade the Avenger, or both the Buzz/Comet for a Champion Cobra.
If you aren't interested in trade, but will sell a Champion Cobra, that's cool too.

Or, if anyone knows where these are available new online, that would be helpful also.

Thanks

Yup, it is a OOP disc.

I have been collecting heavy weights (177-180) Champ. Cobras over couple years as part of my back-ups.

Keep looking around in Ebays (the highest price that I ever pay for a brand new Champ. Cobra is 51 bucks, including shipping!) and look into used discs at various stores. I found a few used light weights from Clearwaterdiscgolf.com

Here it is...

Green (http://clearwaterdiscgolf.com/champion-cobra-greenish-p-3541.html) 20 Bucks

Yellow (http://clearwaterdiscgolf.com/champion-cobra-yellow-p-3513.html) 20 Bucks

There's also several CFR Star Cobras at various places. Its limited run at this point.

I, myself, personally on the hunt for the max weight 1st run CE Cobra with rainbow star stamp. Seen too many blue or gold stamps but no rainbow!! :(

Champ Cobras seem to go for $30-$40 on ebay. Sometimes you get lucky and can snag one for less.

i didn't realize these were so hard to find. at this point, i'm probably not willing to pay that much for one. i have a similar discraft disc (breeze), but over time, i have decided that i like innova discs better, so i was looking to replace the breeze with the cobra.

i think i'll stick with the breeze.

thanks for the info ERicJ!

the breeze is a good disc and it's OOP.
Let me know if you ever need another. I have 2 and 1 is brand new.

i'll do that, thanks for letting me know.

honestly, replacing the breeze with the cobra isn't for any reason other than i'm trying to get all innova in my bag, i just like them better. however, the breeze is one of the discraft discs that i really, really like, and it really works well, so i'll probably just stick with it.

Wish I had known you needed one:(. Played Old Warrior run in Mississippi 2 weeks ago and the park office had about 5 brand new ones. I knew they were OOP and pretty rare so I almost bought all of them but decided to save my money and not mess with them.

So if anyone near Tulepo MS needs some champ cobras that is were you will find them.

thanks for the info jgentry. i may call the park office today and see if i can get something worked out. i did not realize these were OOP until i started this thread. the dx is still readily available, but these were to fast, i'm looking for something more durable.

i actually have a stingray that i got at a tournament. it is DX, but no more than i have to throw it, it has held up pretty good. i really like the stingray a lot, so when the dx wears out, i do plan to replace it with a better grade plastic. and you are right, i am not disappointed in this disc, i've thrown some really good turnover shots with it, great disc.

the Champ Stingray is OOP in champion plastic as well

you may want to try champion gremlins. they are pretty close to the cobra, maybe a little more stable. there are x-out champion gremlins at discgolfvalues.com for sale pretty cheap.

I called the park office, and they still had 3 available, but now they only have 1...:D I bought 2 so I would have a back up, just in case. They should still have 1 left if anyone is interested.

Thanks again jgentry!

The last disc they had was Orange, but the weight on the back of the disc was not legible. The 2 that I got were 175 and 179, so I'm guessing somewhere in that range. They are brand new discs, never been thrown, but I'm going to say that they have probably been there for quite some time for the ink to be worn that much.

Here's mine:
http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk270/jdubent08/misc%20DG/cecobracopy.jpg

I use it for BH stable mid. Pretty hard to flip over. It goes in & out of my bag depending on the day of the week

That one looks like it's been used once or twice!! I'm pretty stoked about finding these in the champ plastic. I was using DX exclusively with my mids, but it gets beat up way to fast. I throw RHBH too.

Thanks jgentry, wouldn't have been able to get these without your help, it is appreciated! I'm cautious with my discs, I don't like to lose them, so I'm hoping they do last a long time.
