"The City of Chico is one step closer to finding a resolution on the disc golf issue. Monday night, the Bidwell Park and Playground Commission unanimously supported a short disc golf course near Caper Acres. The proposed 11-acre site is in Lower Bidwell Park, between Caper Acres and Highway 99. None of the other sites received unanimous support. The issue will be discussed again on April 21st, when the recommendation is handed over to the Chico City Council."

Problem is that site doesn't alleviate the pressure the crowds are apparently causing at the "environmentally sensitive" site that they're moving from as its only 11 acres and can reasonably only hold a 9 hole kiddie course, whereas the old site was 18.

I suspect more people will end up using the other course still at the "environmentally sensitive" site, than play this "solution", so it sounds like a lose-lose for both sides.

My mom used to live in Chico about a minute away from where they are showing the new course going in. I really can't think how they will get a full 18 there. Worse then that though is the busy nature of that area. There are tons of events and people down in Lower Park almost all the time, and this doesn't sound to me like a great resolution.
