Well, we have about 30 confirmed members on Saturday. Maybe more. And maybe more heads will show. Who knows. Lots of peeps know about this, on the site and in real life. As far as all weekend campers, 20+. I think around 3pm on Saturday it's gonna be a zoo.

I think starting a tourneys that late would be a mistake. In my opinion, it should start earlier, around 10ish.

I wanted to give people driving in a chance to play the course before EVERYTHING IS ON THE LINE. Usually at monthlies we start the 2nd round by 2 and finish around 5. This would just be one round so we would finish by 4 and have plenty of time for dubs or whatever.

This is a valid question for those who are driving up for Saturday only.
I understand that some have vouched for an "organic" fly-by-the-seat-of-our-pants approach, but setting an official start time would be helpful, IMO.

I also understand the desire for those coming on Saturday only to perhaps get in at least one practice round prior to this official start.

1:00 PM has been thrown around. But what exactly is going to start at 1? Singles round for those w/ travel tags or something, yet we all participate?

With random doubles to follow that? At approximately time X?

I'm going to yield the decision to Sir Snappy but my opinion is that there are some surprises to be handed out for the "tourney" style round and it would be best if we all played at the same time. I intend on moving baskets throughout the weekend and it wouldn't be fair for someone to win/lose the round on a different layout than what others have played.

As for everything else I say we do it anything goes.

I drove 18 hours from Columbus to Amarillo, played the only course in town, then went and set up camp. I ended up only sleeping for about 5 hours and hit the road again from Amarillo to Calabasas, another 18 hours. So yeah, I'm pretty beat. So anyone know a good dive bar around here? Lol.

I plan on hitting up a few courses on the way back. Just unsure, right now, of which way I want to go back home. I am on a little time crunch, but I am going to Vegas after the meet and then either heading up through Utah and Colorado, or back through Arizona and New Mexico and what not. It mostly depends on the weather.

I just spoke with HeiserSoze and Team Seattle. They are already at the campgrounds.
Due to the rain, "G" is closed. :(
But, they put those guys in "C".
For now I have no other info on what the rest of us are gonna do.
Heiser told the peeps that he's part of our group and explained the situation. Apparently if they keep "G" closed we're gonna all go to "C".
No one is in "C" as of now....

Stay positive people! This will all work out.
"G" will probably open back up tomorrow.
But if it doesn't we're all just gonna stay in "C".
Not sure how far away "C" is.....

By the way... We are here. We being heisersöze, dolfer, RobBass and lost in the brambles. We are In "C" instead of "G". They closed G cause of the rain. Our spot is C-5. My red DGR porta-basket is set up in the middle of our site. I'm assuming G is closed until Saturday. Pretty sure we will be here thru the weekend unless miracle weather comes our way tomorrow. I called snappy with all the info earlier... I will try to check back periodically with the thread to try and answer any questions, but im using my phone to do so. Holy ****!!!!!

Wet, but in great spirits. It should be clear tomorrow and they'll send me a report on what "C" looks like in the daytime.
I realize that "C" is a bit away from the course, which is a bummer. I'll get all the details tomorrow morning when I call the park.
Hopefully "G" will open up... but if not I'm going to push the issue of us all getting to camp all next to each other in "C". It might even turn out to be in our favor! :thmbup:
If we end up in "C", we'll have to work out a carpool-to-the-course system.

I'm going to try to leave as early as possible tomorrow so once I post my final message, that'll be it until I get to the park.

Also for those that would like to arrange a carpool to the course from C. I will be driving up in an a huge old ass suburban we can fit 9 in there with seats probably a lot more with out the seats.

Iplaythepistal and I will be getting there around 7am tomorrow morning. Just don't freak out when you here my clakity rattle trap diesel come storming into the campsite!!

Can't wait to play some disc golf, eat some chili and tacos, and drink lots and lots of beer!!

I just got home. Course was awesome and it was great meeting so many peeps. :thmbup: Got to play a round with the Seattle crew earlier in the afternoon, then another round with the Norcal crew and roadtripstuff in the evening. In the morning I also played an intro round so all told I played 3 rounds in one day, with about 5 hours of driving thrown in. Epic.
