Solidify your bag, know what you're gonna throw, and don't change anything. Then play that course and decide which line you're throwing on each hole. Then just work those lines, and your putting.

Relax. Have fun. Play the course and your game. Don't play the opponent, and try to do things you haven't done before. WIN!

If you can successfully do this you have every opportunity to win. I can't seem to not play my opponent for an entire tourney and this keeps my rating well below where it could be.

Also read Craig's Corner there is a lot of really solid advise in there.

Figure out what shots you are the most consistant with. Then at the course see if you can use those shots on every hole. Most people get in alot of trouble when they try to much/get greedy/ try shots they have not practiced. In tourneys crazy stuff happens so if you can figure how to get through the first round with out any big mistakes you will usually get on one of the top 2 cards for the 2nd round. Birdies are great in tourneys, but also remember pars are better than bogeys.
As far as a practice schedule, make sure you get your putting routine down so at the tourney when the pressure is on you wont have to think about it. If you normally play once a week and you up it to 7 days a week for the last two weeks before the tourney you might see negative results. just a thought.

This is so true. I played a tourney with fractalzoom, and the first hole of the day, he had 3 putts roll away, and the second 2 were spit outs.
Keep in mind, this was hardly an elevated or sloping green, I've never seen anyone ever have a roll away on this hole besides that time.

Don't go on tilt.
If you're outplaying others don't get over-confident.
If you're playing poorly don't get angry or discouraged.
I've fallen apart so many times because of this problem.
Keep your composure.
DiscGolf is half physical half mental.

a little bit of weight training will help.
obviously a regimented program would be key, but i've found in as short as 2-3 sessions you see improved course abilities. Compared to a heavy weight or chord a 170g disc is nothing.
even hand grip machines and any resistance (Spring, bungee, etc) in the throwing motion helps.
fyi, i usually see an affect within the first 2-3 times of playing, because of the extra snap (etc) it kinda screwed up my game for a round (or so) as i adjusted.

Do what he said ^^^^^^^
Also, I like to spend some time in an open field working on my drives, and long approch shots.
