Strictly from an aerial view would either of these make good sites for a DGC? 9 hole or 18.

Second site area is north of I-76 West of Lowell.

The second site is Adams County owned land and it is up for future park development so if I get positive responses then I might draft a proposal to build a DGC. . I have not figured out it the first site is Denver or Adams County.

I would think that Zuni Park might be able to accomodate a recreational 9 hole course. Pretty wide open holes in the 190-250' length.

The other one, I'm not sure what part you are thinking of. Is it the area bounded by Lowell, I-76, 287 and W 55th? If so, I doubt you could fit an interesting 18-holer in there due to routing and hole separation. You could get a really good/long/interesting 9-holer especially if the topography is good.

I would have to say Zuni park. More trees and more amenities.

Upon further inspection the Zuni Park would not be good. Myself and some others in the area are looking for some other sites to work with.

Zuni park looks like -- for safety reasons -- it could house a max of 6 short holes, probably 2 teepads per hole. Just enough for some casual, goof-off golf. But it still would likely be a danger to the playground and kids on the baseball field. So I'd keep looking. The other land it is impossible to tell much about from the shot posted -- what is the actual land under consideration? It certainly doesn't look ideal, but I've seen some courses like that work okay -- long skinny courses along floodplains that are basically out and back... not great courses, but can still be fun if that's all that is nearby.

Zuni looks dangerous. The second one, even though there are no trees... would be dope because of the water hazards. Every hole could have water. Short but dangerous shots.

Zuni would hold 9, but the first 6 would be short. you would have to plan very carefully because of the paths and especcially the road. I think you could make a 3 rated course, but you won't fit a gem in there.
the second area is pretty wide open, not sure how high quality you could get there either.
