A PDGA A-TIER EVENT

TO BE CONTESTED ON THE 27 HOLE SENECA CREEK STATE PARK DISC GOLF COURSE IN GAITHERSBURG, MARYLAND

FORMAT: SATURDAY – 2 RNDS OF 18 HOLES (TEES AND PINS TBD)
SUNDAY – 1 ROUND OF 27 HOLES (TEES AND PINS TBD) W/A CUT TO THE TOP 8 PLAYERS FOR A FINAL 9 HOLES
DIVISIONS OFFERED: PRO DIVISIONS ONLY – (NO SEPARATE AMATEUR DIVISIONS)
MPO (Open to all Men) – SLIDING ENTRY FEE BASED ON PLAYER RATING (AS FOLLOWS)ADD $3 if using paypal.
980 and over = $90
950-979 = $75
920-949 = $60
919 and under = $45
MPG (Men over 50) = $60
FPO (Ladies) = $50

Only PDGA members are eligible to compete in this event. Players registered as Amateurs can play, using entry fees based on sliding scale above. Players are eligible for cash and/or merchandise prizes to retain Am status.

Directions to Park: Located approx. 20 miles NW of Washington DC. From South – use I-270, and get off at Exit 10 (Clopper Rd) and go West. Park entrance is 2 miles on the left. From North – use I-270, and get off at Exit 11 (Quince Orchard Rd), turn right at bottom of ramp and go 1/2mile and turn right on Clopper Rd. Park entrance is 1-1/2 miles on left. Once in the park, go through the toll gate and then turn right. Follow park road until it ends (about 1-1/2 miles) and turn right. Road goes over a bridge right into the DG parking lot. Please OBEY PARK SPEED LIMITS 20MPH!!!!

Just secured an $800 tournament sponsor via the Choice Hotel Group.

Our tournament Hotel is now the Shady Grove Comfort Inn in Gaithersburg, MD (about 6 miles from the park) Up to quad occupancy for $99/night (reg $149), call 301 330-0023 and be sure to reference the "Seneca Creek Soiree" or "Disc Golf Tournament" to get the special rate. Full Breakfast is included.
The Hotel is located at 16216 Frederick Rd Gaithersburg, MD.

ALSO - The Soiree is a qualifier for THE VIBRAM OPEN in August - we will have TWO spots to give away to the lucky winners (not already qualified).

I can't go this year, which is really frustrating, but I'll vouch that this is one of the best tournaments on the East Coast. If you're within 300 miles there is no excuse at all not to attend. If you're farther than that... well, what the hell -- make a summer roadtrip. Seneca is an awesome 27 holes and the tournament will be amazing. Craig does a great job -- and has a lot of enthusiastic help.

a little too far but worth it if i had the time...played the first 2 amateur championships there in 95-96..one of the best courses on the east coast

course has been redesigned and is much better now.

I played Seneca 3 weeks ago while in the area for a wedding and the course is just awesome. If only I was closer that 450 miles to it.
