Going to the disc store tonight. thinking about getting some x outs, but are they good substitutes for their well made counterparts? What is the community opinion on this9

They're fine. Often they just have cosmetic issues.

Yes, they are typically fine. Normally just cosmetic flaws like a mis/double stamp, flecks in the plastic, etc.

Totally fine. Most of mine just have flecks in the plastic or tiny bubbles.

I love X-outs to try new discs... I dont buy DX normally unless I really like the stamp (whippet!) since I normally throw all champ.star/DC equivalent.

I throw a few misprint discraft discs and x-outs regularly.

totally fine? you guys are nuts. ive seen some REALLY bad ones out there. just make sure to check out all the lines before you buy...beware of bubbles that you can feel with your finger, anomalies ("under filling") in the rim and flight plate warpage. anything besides that is strictly cosmetic and shouldnt affect flight at all.

guess I could be wrong... I have had/felt tons of x-outs and they all seemed fine to me, but I guess it never hurts to ask the seller just to be sure.

I would rather buy Discraft in this respect as they are only misprints, no problem with the disc itself.

All the xouts I've seen have been fine. I have an xout ce valk that has absolutely nothing wrong with it as far as I could tell. It looks like there may be a slight warp in the flightplate but I can't really tell. If there is it doesn't affect the flight.

ive seen a few discrap xouts. they have XOUT written in huge black letters in sharpie all over the flight plate. theyre hideous. gateway seems to be the worst in the xout dept. ive seen some really warped gateway putters. maybe 4 out of 10 gateway xouts have serious issues. and remember: xout = factory second (reject). xout ≠ misprint. if a reputable dealer is selling misprints, you should be golden. its better to inspect every xout before you buy though.

Yeah misprints are safe. I don't buy X Outs personally.

Best to Hold it before you buy it.

Yeah, I bought a discraft misprint package and all the discs were in immaculate condition, most it was hard to tell where the misprint was. They're picky about their stamps, though.

I have several X-outs. My biggest beed with Innova ones are the damn pen or whatever they put an x on top of the ones stamped *Innova Factory Seconds* on. Acetone doesn't even touch it.

The one disc that's actually close to flawed (as far as I can tell) that I own is a Buzzz. It's regularly labeled, not an X-out or factory second. The two portions of the disc are off center of each other. Even then it's likely my favorite disc to throw, flies just fine as far as I can tell.

I love x-outs!

A lot of the time they are stiffer as well, not to mention cheaper

I got some Discraft misprints from GGGT & they are awesome, maybe missing a small part of the stamp. Got a 176 DX Roc x-out brand new to trade if anybody wants it. Has some colored specks on the flightplate

most of the time it's very difficult or impossible to determine why they're marked x-out. i'd say those x discs are almost always as good as the others.

All the x-outs I've thrown have had just very very very minor imperfections -- slight dimple, little bubble in plastic. Otherwise, they still fly great.

I have had great luck with them. Most of the ones I have seen are super hard to figure out why they are X-outs.

The ones I have are great. If you can look at before you buy you can insure they arent too jacked up.

nothing looks wrong with some of my wizards i bought for practice discs until i weighed them. nearly all the wizards are over 174.3, which i believe i read was the approved max. weight. they are bricks. i think two of them are 179 and 181.

almost all are cosmetic.
