So my folks had a lake-front cottage along a busy major highway, and we spent summers there. We left the cat at the other house for the first few years, fearing she would be run over by a semi.
She was with us before I was born, but she was definitely "my" cat, so I really didn't like leaving her behind. One year, we decided she was old enough (10 yrs old) that it wouldn't be a problem. Then July came along...
My dad gets up one morning to go to work, and sees a big black furry pancake on the road behind the house. No one else around had a black cat, so he knows it is ours, and dead. Already late for work, he gets a shovel, and puts the cat in the outside trash bin, planning on burying it when he gets home.
Around noon, I'm up in my room and I hear "AAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!" My mom had found the cat in the trash and was flipping out. My older brother gets the shovel, crosses the road with the cat and buries it well beyond the tree line.
This was Tuesday. I spent the rest of the week despondent, and begging my folks for another cat.
On Friday, we had a family we were friendly with out to the lake for some swimming and martinis. As all the kids are joining the parents on the porch before dinner, who comes sauntering up the steps like Fred Astaire?
My Black Cat, with not a scratch on her.
Our family loses our minds, and we try to relate the story, but our friends were having nothing of it. They didn't believe a word.
Although I was still a little s#!t of a kid, I never messed with that cat ever again. She died seven years later, and I buried her across the street just like my brother. I kept my fingers crossed, but I never saw her again.

No. Innova has Speed, Glide, Turn and Fade and Discraft only has the staility rating

Yes, I suppose thats true and could be of some benifit to someone new to the sport. There are charts out there rating the Discraft discs with Innova style stats and also several disc comparison threads in the equipment section of this site.

How can you choose only one unless you are paid to? If I had to choose, it'd be Discraft. About 2/3 of my favorite discs are Discraft, but I couldn't live w/o some Innova and Gateway in my bag.
The poll should have an option like "whatever flies the best" or something. :\

I like discrafts ratings. Instead of pretending those ficticious numbers are real, they just give you a guide. All my dc plastic holds true to its printed rating..can't say the same for innova;)
Its funny cause its usually new players that stress the ratings, yet their flights aren't true to the ratings anyway.
Discraft rating breakdown:
0 will fade forward
1.5's will turn and fade
2+ will fade hard

I was on the BOZO Show once when I was 7, I was in a pie making contest and i won. It was one of those Tootsie Roll filled container that looks like a big Tootsie Roll.
And I was on Real People too. ( if anybody remembers that show around 1979.)

My first golf disc was a found Phantom. Before that I was tossing a small diameter guts Frisbee. It was the early 80s by the way. Tossed Comets and XDs for most part from the mid 80s to late 90s with a few Lighting drivers mixed in. In 2009, after 10 year DG hiatus, its been mostly Innova for me because of the way they rate disc. Innova ratings provide more information.

My coolest discgolf story was our family trip to New Zealand last March. While we were there, I met Ken and Marc Jarvis and golfed with them for an entire weekend. Me and a newly made friend that worked at the Shoe Clinic finished only 1 stroke behind the Brother's Jarvis playing doubles at Paradise Plates, a course I had never even seen before. I was straight ballin that round off the teebox and made every nearly putt in sight. Good times.

I've got a story for you. I have two daughters. One is 11 (Tif) and the other is 9 (Beca). Two days ago we decide to play a round on an open type course and it was real windy. Beca's "wind disc" is a 150 Dragon because she does not have much power, uses no runup or x'step but has a good little snap and accuracy out to about 150'...normally. Well we get to this hole that's about 180' and there's about a 20MPH headwind. She pulls out the dragon and as soon as it left her hand I knew it was on the money. It never raised, dropped, turned or faded and it hit dead center chains!
Then it came straight back out and the wind carried it 10' back towards us. Later she said "I don't care that it came out. I'm still happy because I know I hit what I was aiming at."

It really depends on the situation. For max D I am throwing a pro wraith, for more control but still some speed I will go P PD, and for control drives I have two different cyclones.
For mids I love both rocs and comets
