After a couple of weekends of looking, measuring, playing and getting other's input, we have added several new tees to Chattooga Belle Farm in Longcreek, SC.

The course as it originally designed was 6,500' from one set of tees. Three baskets have moved locations and two holes have been completely pulled and redesigned. We finalized everything yesterday afternoon and only a few small tweaks are needed for the season.

Red tees are 5,283'
Blue tees are 5,590'
Golf tees are 7,359'

I've attached a make-shirt course map. Hope to have new map within a week or two (thanks Bill) and will post that as soon as it is available.

Whoa... long walk to Hole 9. (assuming Hole 9).

And... it seems a little wide open. Why didn't you use the woods more? Just wondering.

Otherwise... sign me up. I want to play there. It looks beautiful.

OK... I looked at the old map and saw what you did. Nice!
It's actually a shorter walk to 9 now!

See this post (http://www.dgcoursereview.com/forums/showthread.php?p=756816) where he says this:

This course is out in the middle of nowhere and a destination course more than course for new players...it is long and was designed to be a long course. It covers around 100 acres. Then owner gave parameters of not having a basket closer to any trees than 20 feet so he can get his 15' wide mowing deck between the pin and trees and that we can't cut any trees or do anything that would require him more work than mowing. Each year (the course went in the ground last July) we're planning on doing a little more to enhance the course. Whether you play the long set of tees or the short set of tees, the course is a really long walk.

Looks beautiful sadjo1!

When we were moving baskets and adding tees, we looked at the possibility of a cut through the woods from the 8 basket to the 9th tee...we would need to build a staircase and do a lot of clearing. Not in the cards for right now.

We were looking at a tunnel shot through the pathway that we are walking on to #9. That would also require us to lose a hole somewhere else and after moving several other baskets creating one new hole and losing another wasn't in the cards either.

The owner is buying three additional baskets this spring and will use those with the practice basket, hole 16, 17 and 18 to have a short, kid friendly course, through the orchard.

Originally we were not allowed to play anywhere near the orchard and now we have the basket for 16 within the orchard and the tee for 17 is within the orchard.

The owner also told us this weekend that is in expanding the peach trees and we will lose what is now hole 18. That won't happen until 2012. The original hole 18 (before moved last fall) is the cover picture on the Innova calendar this year.

Have already started looking for a day on the calendar to get out and check the new layout, really looking forward to it. It will be once some fruit can be picked and the shop is open - they have a couple found discs there but weren't open the last time we went. Maybe we can meet out there if you are still wanting that Star Katana?

Bill-it will be a while before I play again...this weekend is booked with work and family events and next weekend is the state juniors event. Maybe in mid April? Yeah, I'm still interested in the Katana.
