I tried perfect putt 360 for the very first time last night. I however was at Globeville Landing, http://www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=277 , which has tone poles instead of baskets. I scored an 83. I think if I tried this on a basket my scores would go up dramaticly. there were so many putts that just missed the pole by a centimeter or two. Has anyone else tried this? What type of variance do you have playing pp360 on a tube tone vs. a basket?

I haven't played on a pole but maybe I should. If you get your score up hitting the post your basket game will be great.

Ha ha Globeville, I always think about going over to that course on the way home, but then remember Johnny is just as close for me... It would be very hard to guage pp360 on a tone pole, but each one you hit would be direct pole hits on a basket if you were playing on one.

globeville is ten minutes from my house where as johnny's is thirty depending on traffic. I am going to try pp360 at Johnny's this afternoon and see what my score does. the other reason that I try to play globeville so much is because of the tone poles. whenever I hit a basket course my putting accuracy goes up. the only downside is that to much tone pole can kill your putting confidence a little bit. I think the most common quote is for me there is "if it was a basket that would have gone in"

I know what you mean. I have a Mach Lite basket and want to add more chains. Every time I hit the chains and it falls out I think the same thing: If that was a "real" basket it would have gone in.

whats a tone pole?
Its usually a pole with a piece of metal over it that makes a bell or gong like sound to let you know that it was indeed hit.

1.so you just hit it anywhere or you have to hit the "gong piece"?
2. if you had a blind shot and hit it from 200ft away would you still be able to hear it?
3.got any pics of one?

so yesterday I did pp360 at Johnny roberts instead of globeville. my tone pole score was 83, my basket score is 146. I found I hit many more 25' and 30' putts with a basket, yet two of my 10' putts that would have hit the tone pole bounced out of the chains. I think I will start tracking both seperately to see if there is a similar improvement curve to both styles of baskets

i would hate to play a round with poles but i would love to practice my putting with them....seems like it would make putting into a basket sssoooo much easier...i dont have my own basket yet, but hell i guess i could practice on a pole or tree and itd still help huh

Played a round up at Globeville on the tone's. I have to say they make you work much harder. You either have to park the disc within 10 feet to be able to safely make a putt of just be deadly straight with you putts. I did hit an amazing 50 footer, but that was mostly luck. It is like a power circut training regiment for your short game. I can tell that Jroll has improved his putting by doing so.
