How far under do you put your fingers on a power grip?
I used to put mine centered on the sharp edge under the rim. My wife occasionally grip locks one and it goes almost 45 degrees right and the last time she did it I noticed that she was curling her fingers all the way under the rim so that they actually touched the verticle wall inside the rim. I told her how I did it and we got into an argument about it.
A few weeks later she asked a top pro about it and the pro said your fingers should be curled all the way under and be pulling on the inside verticle wall of the rim on a backhand power grip just as your fingers push on the inside verticle wall of the rim while throwing forehand.
Since I throw forehand pretty good it imediately made sense and I started doing it when I throw. It has added about 20 feet to my throws on average.

I shove mine all the way up on the inner rim so my finger nails are almost/slightly touching the underside of the disc.

I've always thrown with the sharp part of the rim centered on the pads of all four fingers. I would push up with the fingers and down on top with the thumb. I've always had good snap this way but will have a disc rip out prematurely on occasion.
It does not help that I have small weak hands.
I also have small feet but a very large...
...heart.

Until it tickles!:)
Just kidding! I usually hold my disc with my pinky/ring finger touching the rim, and my middle finger/index finger fanned out. With my thumb directly over my index finger. Seems to give me alot of control, but if my wrist angle is off at all its not very forgiving. If I'm driving for distance I only use 2 fingers on the bottom of the disc with my pinky/ring finger curled up with the rim of the disc resting on them. Not as much control but I can get a hell of a snap off it. I dont think any particular grip/throwing technique is superior to another. It seems like it depends on the player. :)

i agree with the pro advice...on a side note, i started gripping tighter on my drives today, and consistently started seeing better releases and about 30-40 more feet...

Yes the wife may be always right. Good thing I am learning this now before getting married or even a girlfriend for that matter.
As far as the grip is concerned, yes all the way under and a tight grip is going to give you more distance. It is a matter of more snap as the disc rips out putting more spin on it and as such causing the disc to spin more. That is the goal to add distance, more spin. Sure arm speed helps but the disc spinning is more important.

Three finger power grip with pads of fingers firmly against the inner wall of the rim to get the best pull on the disc. The tips of the fingers are up against the flight plate.
