I put together a page that I'll update annually with the courses for the Pro/Am Worlds. Pretty basic, just a thumbnail, current rating, etc. I thought it might be fun for people to check out that otherwise haven't really paid attention to where the events are taking place.

Very cool! Great idea and great resource.

Would there be a way to add a field to each entry that outlines the configuration to be used as well as which divisions are playing each course? I realize you are grabbing existing database fields and just plunking them down on this page, but that information would be really useful (it would need to be updated as it becomes available).

I believe that all the Pro courses will be 27 holes, but none of them are naturally 27 (2 are 18).

I don't want to sink quite that much time into it where I'm going out and doing research, etc. I figured it was more of a neat thing for a quick look a the courses. There is a link to the event page for each so info for stuff like configurations, etc. can probably be found there.

I think the simple list with description and average rating is plenty helpful. Very nice touch Tim.

DeLaveaga and Ryan Ranch have 29 holes, DeLa usually only has 28 baskets in though.

CSUMB Oaks in the worlds layout is supposed to be a combination of the regular CSUMB Oaks and CSUMB Cypress courses - so they have 36 baskets that they're paring down to 27 in a special worlds-only layout when last I heard.

Pinto Lake is 18 - I think temp baskets playing through the non-dg part of the course will make the final 9.

Things are starting to come together at my home courses, CSUMB Oaks and Cypress. We have about 3/4 of the cement tee pads in. As JT said, the 27 hole layout if a combination of our two courses. We have two "connector" holes as we are calling them that are basically safari holes not originally part of either course that connect the two. Both connector holes are par 4s, there will be four Par 4s out of the 27.

Ryan Ranch is also looking it's best! The Stinging Jellies have been having work parties every Saturday and the hard work is really showing! They paid tons of money for someone to mow the back 9, which is finally playable! Some of those holes were jungles for the last couple months! Lot's of poison oak has been removed, and steps have been added on hole #3, are also other notable changes.

If anyone needs a guide at either CSUMB or Ryan Ranch hit me up!

Is there anyway to have this info listed in tabs to include previous years courses?

I started it this year. So next year there may be a tab.

Hm.

"World's Courses List".

(thinks about a huge spreadsheet that updates in real time to show every course in the world)

oh well

(goes for coffee)

(comes back, takes a look at the page, decides it's a pretty nifty idea after all :D )
