In Wine Country - Disc Golf (Youtube)

My dad TIVO'ed this for me the other night.

It's a show called "In Wine Country" and was playing on NBC locally. He's a big wine buff, and saw this episode, titled "Disc Golf" and thought enough to save it for me.

The guy they interview's a duffer, but his dad seemed pretty into it. It's not a great representation of DG, but it's still something. Which is always better than nothing. Enjoy.

I saw that episode over the weekend. The people playing were all terrible, but any attention the episode can bring to DG is a good thing. Plus, it's in wine country, so you can't go wrong.

The cool thing about that clip was that you could see they were having fun...even though they weren't that good at it....

Oddly enough it is kind of thing that gets people saying to themselves, "I can play better than that." Which of course can lead them to thinking, "I wonder if there is a place to play near here."

Ok maybe not, but I can dream.:p

There is plenty of awesome breweries in Napa Valley as well... and another disc golf course at the north end of the valley. So play skyline in the morning, tag breweries all morning as you drive north and the go to highland springs in the late afternoon. or vica-versa... but don't spend all your time at the breweries like I did. It was dark by the time I got to skyline... Next time.
