The proposal is for a 9 - 12 hole course located in a park about 4 miles from Miramar Park in Seabrook on the north shore of Clear Lake. The city of Taylor Lake Village has been raising funds for this course since March. Their original plan was to break ground in May and have the course ready to play by now, but raising the money hasn't been easy. Taylor Lake Village is on the north shore of Clear Lake and many of the businesses are still dealing with Hurricane Ike repairs and other financial concerns.

Currently they have about a third of the money raised. Another $5,000 - $6,000 needs to be raised and they're looking for volunteers to help with the basket installation. This park is already pretty well maintained without a lot of brush to be cleared. All that's needed are Tee Boxes and baskets and people to help install them.

if the work is done by volunteers and the park dosnt need clearing whats up with the $1000 a hole .

Basket-$350 4x4 tee sign 5-10 bucks , even if they use concrete and fancy tee signs your not looking at more than $200 so wheres the rest going.

I was thinking about donating either money, a basket, labor but after they put that info on their site im not so sure . Thats alot to ask of the people who play a free sport and who are mostly lower or middle class when the people who live in that community are so freaking rich plus all the tickets those as88ole lakeview cops write to those very people they want money from let them pay for the stuff other than the baskets which shoundnt be more than about 3500.
