My buddy and i are going to go down to the tourny this weekend it will be my first pdga event. Questions any one know some camping near by or the park address cant seem to find directions from cincy ( trying to decide if the lex or lousiville route is better.) And if it isnt a a tier i can pay the ten dollar non member fee and play right. Figure tamahawk might be able to help.

Agentdozzer, sorry man, I do not know much about this area. I have played the course once, but I live on the opposite side of the course from where you are coming from, about an hour away, and I am not to familiar with this area at all. I will try to dig up some info, my cousin's wife is from this area, if I can get in touch with her, she may know about the camping, etc...

I hate to give directions because I'm not sure I could give you the best route from your location. I would think it would be easier to come from lexington than louisville, but again, that is just a guess.

If I am able to get any additional info, I'll certainly let you know.

I was able to find a address so i can google the directions. The lady i talked to said the best way from cincy is through Lexington so that way we go.

Cool, I guessed correctly!!!

Alright, sounds good. Again, I apologize that I wasn't able to be more help. It is a fun little course, pretty open (for the most part), but they've used some sand, mando's, and artificial OBs to help spice up the course a bit. Good luck in the tourney, I hope you have a positive first experience with your first event.

yep, it's pretty open. nothing real tight, several shots that are wide open. if you can throw 350, you'll be shooting for the deuce on most holes. not a terribly difficult course. should be fun though, i'm trying to talk myself into making it out there Saturday, i may be able to if i can get a sitter for the little one. the wife is taking a weekend class toward her masters, so she'll be gone all day anyway.

I can get 350 on some holes but others not so much depends on the elevation, guess ill find out. How bad is the obs its not like idle wild with the islands is it?

nope, no island greens here. the OBs for the most part are artificial, ropes/markers placed as OB. Hole 3 is short tee to pin, but there is a mando that forces a much longer route left to right path. Hole 6 has an artificial OB area, and several others as well. Since a lot of the holes are basically wide open field shots, the artificial OBs were put in place to add some challenge, there is a pond that comes into play on 3 holes, and a sand trap that's OB too. Hole1 is a shot directly over the pond, guessing 250+, but there is a bail out to the right. See reviews for all the details.
