is there a way to lighten up a darker disc

well ive started trying to dye discs, but the ones im practicing on are darker colors i have a purple goblin im gonna try out next is there any way to lighten up the color of the disc for example will bleach or some of the color removing rit dye possibly remove some of the color makeing it lighter? if anyone has any suggestions or knows how to do what im asking your help is much appreciated.

If you have a custom dyed disc that sits in the sun it will not lighten to a great extent. I have one that is black and the image is in red and it looks faded and the image looks runny. The color is not as bright but it looks like a used disc more than a lighter color. I soaked a disk in bleach for two days and the original color faded more that the dyed portion and again it only looks used not lighter.
