i like it a lot. fast green behind the pin + the elevation looks like a putt that will make your cornhole dilate

I know, but only cause I cheated and looked at pic info...somebody else can get all those internets - I am good for now!

It has to be somewhere like Ohio or Indiana. Either way it's a beautiful basket. Wouldn't want to putt on that thing when the winds is blowing really strong.

Hector has not returned to say anything, so I will assume I am correct and collect my 5 internet credits, then avoid him so he can not tell me I am wrong.

Yeah its not Whitehall. I just played up there less than a week ago. However I do wish it were Whitehall cause that would be awesome!

Prerube - no points for you.

It could have been on a course I haven't listed, ya know?

This is in Valpo, ready for the Lakewood Shootout - Link here for more info - http://dunelanddgc.com/index_files/Page1788.htm

Thanks for playing (what a dumb game).

You should attach a chain from the bottom to an anchor in the ground or worthless and useless chuckers will try and swing on it and do all sorts of other stupid things with it.

isn't the 24 on the wood support a little redundant? also does the basket move? i know most hanging baskets do but i've never seen one on a pole like that before.

pucker factor indeed! no pole to slow down a low putt and nice downslope behind it.

It looks like the pin is attached to a solid steel pole, which is attached to the arc.

Does this basket even swing? If it doesn't, then what is the point of building this? If it does swing, where is the pivoting point? Regardless of practicality, it looks very nice :)

The pin is indeed secured to the framework, it does not swing, this was the designer's idea to keep kids in the park from swinging on it. I think the point is to build something unique that dg'ers will enjoy and bitch about.

The designer/builder had the putter laying around and thought it would be great to hold the hole number up a little higher.

Since it doesn't swing, it seems to be a pin that rewards missed putts that are too high, as there is more to hit up there. A short putt is more likely to skip and roll down the hill. Interesting, if not a little pointless for all the work.

Hole 24 at Rogers Lakewood in Valparaiso, IN.

Art Heilmann(#1986) came to me with an idea of making this possible. He just told me he wanted to take a basket and invert it. Really that is all it is. Same way they go in the ground, its just this one went opposite. Basket may be a little higher than when its normally stuck in the ground. I'll measure everything and post later.

The supports were built because we couldn't move the trees. We were just going to have the basket hanging, but because there was no possible way the support had to be made. They are also there because we took the backside of the hill out and now there is a nice three to four foot drop off from the ledge. Suprisingly enough, the water in the backdrop for hole 1 does now come into play more often than what it did previously. Perhaps due to the drop off & slope.

Many thanks again go to Art for making it happen. Also to Bart Zandstra, of discgolfflymart.com (http://www.discgolfflymart.com)& Channel Z, for many years of hole sponsorship & support on this hole.

check out dunelanddgc.com (http://www.dunelanddgc.com) for more pictures of the course. many more improvements to come.

Nice basket. It would be nice to see one of those on a course around chattanooga tn. The sinks used to have one but not sure what happened to it.
