My name is Brian and I am a Raleigh, NC disc golfer, I claim Cedar Hills as my home course and FHD = Fly High Dyes. I only do high-end multi-color dyes. Normally, I never post any of my work online and only people here in Raleigh have been able to buy or view my work. So here for the first time I am revealing my dyes. Please do not be over critical of my work.

I do appologize for the quality of the pictures. I will eventually use a good digital camera instead of a crappy cellphone. I have a lot more dyes I would like to post, but quite a few of them are too graphic in either a violent or adult xxx theme. Some of the discs I have done for people I am unable to post due to the privacy of the artwork and not wanting it to be reproduced.

Those are some of the most professional looking dyes I've ever seen. It reminds me of the Discraft SuperColor series.

I use Rit dye and yes you have to recover each section to prevent color bleeds. I actually was trying to make the dyes look like Disccraft super color series, so thanks for making that reference.
As far as time invested in each disc IT IS A LOT OF TIME. One disc I did for a Dead Head was a recreation of an album cover OXOMORA(something like that). I spent 22 hours on the disc and it had 38 colors(including tints). Individual sections on the disc added up to over 240, so I had to make sure that 240 little individual cutouts stuck and did not bleed.
Thanks for the positive input, I will be posting up 3 more tomorrow. If anyone is interested in seeing some of my more adult work, I can always e-mail you the pics.

I have only sold discs to people here in Raleigh and in person. Price has varied greatly depending on how well I know the person vs. what they could afford. For instance I traded a new BB aviar with the little girl in front of the moon for 3 new star discs. I traded a new star wraith with the demon starburst for a 2nd run Ce valkryie. I did the confederate flag and girl disc for 15 dollars and lunch at Taco bell, it was his used star shark to start.
I would also like to note that a majority of my work is one of a kind and I will never reproduce them again. I sign my discs FHD with my name and I write one of a kind on it.
The discs that I intend to reproduce I will only make 12 of them and they are signed FHD with my name and the number the disc is in the series.
I will be posting some of my work on Ebay in the near future.

As cheesy as this may sound, I'm most impressed by the Alice in Wonderland -- how many colors is that? I can't imagine how anyone has the time and patience to do that many layers of dye... or are you using some other process to get all those colors on there?

Thanks guys. The Alice disc is extremely clean and I wish I had a better picture. The color count on Alice is 42 including all shades. Each character has roughly 6-9 colors and only the twins repeat the same color. I am actually getting ready to add more detail to the grass and tree. Total time invested is 14 hours, I actually felt like I rushed it.
I am an EXTREMELY PATIENT individual, I could watch paint dry and never blink. RIT DYE and time is all it takes.

1081 I swear the that the girl's name on the disc is MUFFY not Buffy.

very nice dyes man, I think most on this site will agree you are the van gogh of disc golf :P
I personally like the simple ones like MUFFY the best, but I admire the dedication and time you put into the colored ones. They are truly works of art.

You've inspired me to make my own chessire cat dye on a disc, I have no idea how i'm going to do the purple stripes, any tips/advice would be great. I'd also like to see some of your work if you have a link to some pictures.

How are you tinting/mixing your Rit? & do you paint them on or dip? Very, Very impressed with your work, I've done some intricate designs but nothing comes close to the masterpieces you've done. I've had an image printed & hung on my wall for inspiration that has 12+ colors in it & I haven't quite collected enough or learned how to properly tint regular colors. Skin tone is probably the hardest & I haven't been able to pick up a box of taupe (I think thats the closest rit makes to a skin tone?

Nice to see people are still posting on this thread. I was hoping that I had included enough color work to keep people interested in viewing these dyes.
I am considering doing a video like the current youtube guys did. Obviously I would focus a little more on multi-color and less on the basics.
What does everyone think?? Make a Video????
