I'm planning on taking a short/weekend trip to Charlotte real soon and I'm looking for some advice. First off, the courses I'm planning on hitting up are Winthrop's Gold Course, Renaissance, Hornet's Nest, and Fox Chase...and maybe 1 or 2 more, but it's only gonna be a 1 night trip. Any suggestions?

Also, I'm gonna be bringing my dog along, can anyone tell me if I'll have any problems if he's pretty well behaved off-leash?

And finally, any suggestions on campgrounds? I'm coming from the Raleigh area and I'm pretty new to the state, so I'm a blank slate.

thanks timg and all the members that make this site great!

sounds like a hell of a weekend. ive played all of those except for fox chase, and they are all very fun and challenging courses. if you are thinking about adding another round reedy creek is also an excellent course along with kilbourne tpc. the only course i might be concerned about bringing a dog to is winthrop gold, its located on a college campus (not the kind where every hippie has a dog and every dog has 10 hippies) and there is much security traveling around, not to mention the fact that the course looks like a well groomed ball golf course so they might be trying to keep a level of professionalism (atleast thats the vibe i got). anyone out there correct me if im wrong.
PM me if youre looking for a partner for a round or 2. have fun.
