Hey all, I was just curious if there was a list that had the longest holes in disc golf? I'm from Cincinnati, and while I was playing Idlewild a few weeks ago, I was told that hole 15 was the 3rd longest hole at 1001'. Is this true? Thanks!

There are bunches of temporary tournament holes set up that are ridiculously long. You may want to restrict your question to starndard configuration permanent holes.

For some past TX States tournaments the tee and basket on Wilmont's #14 (http://www.dgcoursereview.com/course_files/171/a0637c9a.jpg) are both moved back so the hole plays >1000' around the "wetlands" preserve. The normal configuration plays just over 800'.

Aspen Mountain CO boasts a 1500 ft hole. It is straight down a ski slope. Its obviously only in during the summer, so one could argue it permanence.

One couldn't argue my desire to play it though :D

The longest hole in all the course around me is at Victor Ashe Park. If it is in the long basket position it is an 1100' par 3. It is a pretty cool looking hole. It is pretty much open with a couple rolling hills in front of you. I have only made par once on this hole in that position and it was kind of a lucky long putt.

An 1100ft. par 3? They may want to up that to 4, 3 seems pretty optimistic with that kind of distance.

The Longest permanent hole that I know of is the 1325 ft #8 at Highbridge Gold in Highbridge, WI. It's a par 6, in the Gold tee to B position, with an OB pond in front of the basket.

For a longer list of holes over 800 ft. see the U.S. Course Guide in the Files section of my Yahoo group, DG Course Reviews (http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/DGCourseReviews/files/Course%20Guides/).

Hudson Mills Metropark Monster course Hole #14 1038' I'm not sure what they're calling it for par but it's news when someone gets a 3. For me par 7 lol.

There is a new course in English Indiana that was built on a ball golf course. The 18th is way longer than the 1001 footer at Idlewild. Not sure exactly how long because we don't have official measurements yet. All I know is that it takes 3 full 500+ ft drives to get within 150 ft so that you can make an upshot, and than putt. It is either a 5 or 6 par for some of the best out there. It is crazy long, probably the longest I have played.

Middle Park in Bettendorf IA is 1002 when at the furthest pin placement. I have some friends that insist on playing everything a par 3 but i dont believe i could ever make it in 3 without a ridiculously long putt.

Hole 18 Solitude Ski Resort, is supposed to be 1213'. its all downhill on a ski run about 15-20 degree pitch and it can be reached with a perfect shot by the big arm players, i just dont know if it really is 1213'.

There is a hole on this champion level course that is just under 1,200 feet. Obvioulsly, it is a par 5. They have multiple that are over 800 feet, and another over a thousand. The course as a hole is amazing, with multiple par 4's and 5's.:D
