View Full Version : Best Chains for a Basket?

I have recently started basket #12, and while I've made many improvements along the way as far as materials, design and asthetics, I need to find the best chains for my baskets. I've always used a 2/0 chain that I can get a deal on from my local hardware store ($0.50/foot). This chain is really heavy as compared to the chains on baskets made by the large manufacturers. Soft putts have a tendency to get rejected by my heavier chains. I was hoping someone has some input on what chain is best for my newest bucket.

Thanks,
Mark

Use the same chains that you see on pro baskets. Spend the extra couple bucks and get the galvanized chains since the zinc coated tend to rust after a few years. Good luck on your baskets, I have 3 of my 8 homemades complete...

...well, they could always use improvements or upgrades :)
