Quick question...
I'm putting a lot of effort into getting a disc golf course installed in Ulm, Germany and I wanted to have some numbers to give to the city in case they ask. How much would it approximately cost to get 18 baskets shipped to Germany? What would be the cheapest way?
Also, in general, how much does it cost to install and maintain a course?
As always, thanks in advance!

seriously well over $10,000 for any course.
DOMESTICALLY:
18 baskets, cement and ground sleeves = 6,500-7,500
Now add 18 tee pads, 18 tee signs, cost of tools for installation and maintenence, cost of upkeep, amenaties (benches, bathrooms, kiosk), and cost of repairs on broken and stolen baskets and signage.
you are looking at needing over $20,000 domestically, shipping to germany is a seperate fee.

I would find out what it costs to get baskets from Latitude 64 in Sweden.

See if you can get in touch with an outfit called New Games/FrisbeeSport.
They are headquartered in Germany.

Thanks for the information! I just checked out their website and they want 499,00EUR per basket. Gah... :(
That might be the cheapest way to do it though. I'll do more research.

You might be able to get the less expensive Innova basket model thru Discmania.

"Why don't we pay it off in Canadian dollars and save ourselves some money?"
What about Innova Europe? Dont they have baskets for cheap since they have a ware house in Europe or one of the other companies. There should be a cheaper way.

Alright...so the Germany representative said 3347 Euro for 9 baskets and 6550 Euro for baskets with shipping and all necessary parts...
I also used this website for approximation:

Is this going to be a local community course or are you looking to host big tourneys and whatnot? I bet you could get a local fabricator to whip up some homebrew for a couple thousand euros.

i think by kiosk he means 'big bulletin board with a small roof on top'. most of the decent courses in MD have them.

The land that I'm trying to get the course placed on has the potential to be the best course in Germany if I can design it right. I definitely want to make this a championship calibur course. I mean, if I'm going to do it, I want to do it right, you know? I'm definitely willing to put in a lot of time to enhance it and stuff.

Just as an update...I got an estimate from Innova Europe for baskets, tees, signs, info board, installation, and shipping.
8258,- € for 9 holes.

I'm studying abroad until August 2012...but essentially the answer to that question is yes.
