Finally finished up another stack of discs to dye and wanted to share.
I'd like to take better pictures but these will do for now.
First is, as the title would lead you to believe, a memorial to George Carlin and I paraphrased a popular quote of his.

Next is an ordnance rifle firing. It was 4 of these from the Union side that started the Battle of Gettysburg.
1112
Last for this post is a sparrow coming in for a landing.

Next is a fusion of a Bansky piece and my man, Chuck Brown ... replacing his usual baseball with a thumber disc.
1116
I've always loved Japanese woodblock prints and figured a Surge would be the right disc for a surging wave in this style.
1114
Not that I have any real heritage to identify with, but both the wife and I have a good bit of Welsh in us so I did my own Welsh dragon.

Lastly I did my own Nebra Star disc as I said I'd like to do in another thread about that artifact.

Great work, especially the shadow shades on the cannon. The sparrow looks like the Playboy bunny logo :D.

Thanks guys I really appreciate it :)

Oh yeah, those things fired 10 pound rounds ... not something I'd want to be on the receiving end of. Military history and specifically pre-modern weaponry interests me alot, something I seemingly got from my dad who was a history major and most interested in the Civil War.
George Carlin is the man!! Great job!
Thank you. I wanted to do a portrait and Carlin's ability to make us re-examine ourselves is something that has always inspired me. Favorite comedian ever, and I've watched a ton of stand up.
Haha the Nebra Star disc!!
history dork in me again :) its a bit of an ugly looking disc but I had fun making it and the painting of dye for the wear and tear was a interesting experiment that frankly went better than I really thought it would.

Thanks man. I've been challenging myself to do more and more detailed cuts with each stencil. It really helps that I picked up an awesome xacto knife that has a small blade that swivels 360.
Great work, especially the shadow shades on the cannon. The sparrow looks like the Playboy bunny logo :D.
Thanks, I am a little proud of the depth on that one. LMAO I didn't notice it until now but you're right ... the outline of the sparrow does look like the bunny head.

much appreciated guys :D
I love doing detailed work ... but man does weeding it all take patience.
Its really nice working with vinyl though for cutting stencils. When I do paintings I use a lot of stencils I make and cut those out of scrap cardboard so comparatively vinyl is a breeze.
