Hey folks... I just joined after TimG wrote to me about my site. I'm glad you guys like the photos. Do you have any thoughts on things incorporating my work that people might be interested in buying? I have a long-term plan of writing a book (sort of a coffee-table photography book), but I'm just in the early stages of that. TimG suggested a calendar, which could be a great idea. Anything else? It helps to hear what people out there would want... Thanks for the help!
Maybe you could just do high quality prints if people wanted to display a photo in their homes? I think you could use deviantart.com for that, last time I looked they had some sort of printing service where you get a cut and they do the work.

This is a fantastic idea. I would definitely hang some disc golf prints on my living room wall :)

Some photo idea I had was taking some real scenic scenes, even if they were not on a disc golf course and get someone off to the side to throw a disc out in the frame. Make the disc small enough so that it is not the main focus of the picture. I would think that we be a conversation piece for an office. Anyway, I guess you could always digitally put the disc in there, but the real thing just appeals to me.
It really wouldn't hurt it any if you had the person int he photo also, but like I said, them really small. Just a thought. I got the idea of those pictures of really big ocean waves. When you look at it long enough, you would finally the little guy surfing in it. Those always looked cool to me.
I can imagine a volcano or mountain picture and at the very bottom, there would be some tiny person and ahead of them, a disc soaring in the air.

I am like the rudest person ever bro! I totally forgot to tell you how great your work is.
I loved the photos. It is a really great to see someone go after something like this and then be able to share it. We are the lucky ones here. When I no longer work in a cubicle and can have walls , I will be calling you for sure!

Awesome. It's so good to hear from everyone, after having worked on the site for about a year now and not having any real venue for announcing/sharing it with DGers that I don't personally know. :-) Spread the word if you know anyone else who'd like to see it. I'm already looking into the service Tim mentioned for making large prints available for purchase, and if anyone actually has one in mind for that, let me know & you can be the test case!
I will be sure to come back to the forum to announce any new offerings I set up. (prints, calendars...) I'm serious about writing a book... it's already (a little bit) underway!
Donovan -- That's a cool idea (the big nature shots with a tiny disc). I had that urge when I was at Niagara Falls recently... but sadly, had no disc in hand. :-)

Well I don't know what kind of a cut you get from deviant art but I've ordered some small prints from the site and the prints are top notch stuff!
If you make a way to buy some I might get a couple for my photo wire.

Great photos! You really ought to consider making a calender.
I know I'd buy one!
