First dye, first dye!

After getting all the materials this week and reading extensively on how to properly dye discs, I acetoned the stamp off a used Champion Wraith and set out on what I knew would be a challenging dye. I stuck with one color(black), but I had to deal with some very precise lines, lots of corners, and small margins for error.
I am VERY pleased with the result! The dye took longer to get a dark enough black than I thought -- about twenty minutes, so I guess I didn't use enough Rit. No bleeding or air bubbles at all. The "N" in "Thin" didn't soak in through a very rough scuff mark, but you can only see that when held to the light.

The lines could have been a little straighter and some of the corners are a little off, but I'm satisfied.

an irish/american classic rock band...you know some songs i bet...boys are back in town...jailbreak..let me guess, solomon is under 25?

Jailbreak is one of the classic 70's hard rock albums..."Jailbreak," "The Boys Are Back in Town," "Cowboy Song," "Emerald"...just a fantastic album.

Disc looks great. Hope you have a bunch of discs, almost all of mine now have dye.
High school, I had the vinyl and a cassette in the '66 bus.
Wow did you bring back some memories.

not dogging your age at all dude...just a good guess..too much "awesome" music coming out these days to check out bands from the 70's..just a touch of sarcasm there..

This disc WILL be used! It's already used, so why put it on the wall?

Thanks for all the comments guys -- Thin Lizzy was a great rock band, this was an easy choice for dying.

I think I'll be sticking with another rock band logo for my next dye......not giving it away just yet though!
