The 18-hole course will be at Youth Park, 4100 66th Ave. N. The 30-acre park already has three baseball fields, seven soccer fields, a tot lot, playground equipment and a multipurpose court, among other things.
Ummmm....how??

I haven't seen the park yet but somehow this doesn't sound like a good idea. I only live about 10 miles from the park, I'll have to check it out this weekend and see for myself.

I believe that park is similar to a rec center, with the baseball fields and what not. It will probably be something small like the couple of courses in Ft. Myers. Either way it'll be another park we can all add to the playlist.

I checked it out this morning after playing Cliff. It's not really that big. I don't know how they're going to fit 18 baskets in there. We'll see. If you do the google earth street view it will put you right in front of both parking lots.

Thanks for the reminder;), I stopped by the course this morning. The course is going to go on some undeveloped land on the South side of the park, like jsardinas said the piece of land isn't real big. There are wooden stakes out on the land where with numbers on them, I'm assuming this is where the baskets will be placed, there was 18 of them. I'm not sure if each basket will have it's own teepad or if maybe some may share teepads. The land looks too small to put a true 18 hole course on it, but would be fine for a 9 hole. I certainly didn't measure it but it seems about 1.5x the size of Limona Park in Brandon. The course does have some potential, parts of it are wooded and there's a pond as well. It'll be nice to have another course down that way.
