What are good course in these areas. A friend of mine is headed for a family reunion and some business to these 2 areas. He is a good player with 30 years of experience. He would ask himself but computers are not his thing.

I just played 2 courses along the South Carolina Grand Strand (coast) yesterday as a matter of fact.
Tupelo Bay in Garden City, SC (just South of Myrtle Beach) is neat in that it's also a Par 3 ball golf course. It's lighted, so you can play as late as 11 PM I think (during the Summer season I suppose). Kinda neat that you have to avoid both greens and sand traps or you get a penalty.
East Bay Park in Georgetown, SC (Southernmost end of the SC Grand Strand) is a brand new DGC, but it has OLD temporary baskets installed. Seriously, I might have made my first Ace there (something I'm rather obsessed with right now), but that single row of thin chains on it just did not stop my disc going right through. A Serious Pisser. I'm tired of all the almost/near miss Aces!

If he is at Holden Beach, the only thing remotely close that is any good is Castle Hayne in Wilmington - about 1 hour away.....but well worth it! It is my favorite flat course anywhere! It will blows away Tupelo Bay.

Ditto, the Castle was my home course and where I cut my teeth. Bill Smith park is closer to the north but I've never played on account of it not being too good. That's it really, that region is a disc golf abyss until Wilmington adds the two it has planned.

Thirded, the coast of NC is barren except for Castle Hayne
which is great
