Neo,

Feel free to look me up prior to coming in. You might also want to play Phantom Falls which is a private course in Pine, CO and can be found on dgcoursereview, but you need to make a tee time due to private.

Thanks.

I'll see you there too!

I sure hope the player's pack is more than a disc though. Otherwise why call it a pack

The player's pack does include more than a disc. It includes a free meal and entry into the glow event, a combined $15 value.

Keep in mind, this is a fundraiser for the course and the club. Our sanctioned event will be Oct 3-4, a real two-day PDGA event where we will have larger payouts. The goal of this event is to support the club and park and those that have busted their ass to make it what it is today.

Thanks.

Th club and those who have busted their ass to make this park one of the best in the country is much appreciated. I love this course and if it wasn't for the people who put in time and energy into it the course would not be as great as it is. Thanks Ponto and everyone who has put in time for this course, we'll see you next week!

Someone made a very generous, anonymous donation to the mixed doubles division of $150 with a $50 donation to the fundraiser!! So the stakes have increased in the division.

We may also be announcing a format change for the mixed doubles division as well so that best disc is not played in the second round.

The course layout for the first round of the Bloom is in place. With the exception of 14 long and possibly 10 long, every pin is where it will be for the first round.

The club has done a lot of work over the past few days and the course is mowed and playing sweet!

Please go to http://www.milehighdiscgolf.org/disctalk/viewtopic.php?t=2362&start=45&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight= for updates.

Go to www.ffdgc.net for information on getting registered. I'll be cutting off registration later this week so get signed up ASAP!

A cool story about this 4th place tie in Open.... Jay decided that the tie
must be broken (4th was the last place for cash) up top after nearly everyone had descended for BBQ. After a lot of heckling the Tom/Scott team gave in. The tie-breaker was to be played from the top (tourney central, near #15) all the way down to the main lodge parking lot (the pin was a "No disc golf parking" sign). Trust me, the pin was *nowhere* in sight and maybe a 1/4 mile away... In my mind this was epic and I had to watch. Everyone but Jay played it safe down the trail, and then Jay launched a MASSIVE annie over some very large trees, it was on. Some other people that were lingering after the tournament acted as spotters and had they not none of these guys would have found discs because they were launching huge shots in very deep uncleared forest. We spent a good 10 minutes looking for Tom's Boss and I was stoked to find it sitting under a small pine, only to be impressed my an incredible thumber shot through tight gaps by Scott. It looked like a ****ing fighter jet as it flew. Anyway, the tie was broken when Jay made a 40ft putt, their 6th shot. Considering Tom and Scott had their 6th shot on the ground at this point I think it was Jay's massive annie drive which was the shot that won the match. A great thing to watch between playing 40 at Beaver Ranch and grubbing on food and beer. A great day!
