So who all is from Eugene Oregon? If we can get enough people together let's all go out to Dexter and throw a few rounds and have some laughs! Maybe set up a ace race or something fun? Let's hear some ideas. Have a good one!

There are actually quite a few of us local Eugene/Springfield DGCR disc golfers, including Eagle01, Demongund, Weaktit, and ColonelDracula. At least a few of us play just about every weekend somewhere, so we could certainly meet up. :) I'm still waiting on news of the Willamette Valley Winter Series (the first event is supposedly November 12th), but that could be another good opportunity, too.

Sweet! Ya anderw rich(local pro) told me about the thing on the 12th. Do you know anything More about that? I'd love to play that. Do you ever play westmoreland? I'm there just about every day.

Yeah, I play Westmoreland quite a lot.. my weekend time has been a bit limited the last few weeks, and I haven't had the spare time to get to any other courses lately. :P
Oh.. Andrew Rich also posted this morning about the Winter Series. :) The first event will indeed be on the 12th, down in Cottage Grove. Unless it's pouring rain, I'm pretty sure I'll be there. ;) Here's the link to the nwdiscgolfnews thread about it, if you haven't seen it already:

Nice I can't wait to play there. Do you know if there's going to be a fee? I didn't read if there will be or not.

Yeah, here are the event fees:
Pro- $25
Adv/Am- $20
Rec/Novice/Juniors-$20
$5 from each entry goes to the following.
-$1 Ace-Pot
-$2 Series Finale Payout
-$2 Series Fees (Maps, Scorecards, Permits etc)
It's pretty cheap as far as tourneys go, although not being PDGA sanctioned events reduces the costs too. Two rounds, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Last year, I don't know if the Rec or Novice divisions got enough players to happen (typically a minimum of 3 players for a division), but there were a whole lot of Intermediate Amateur (MA2) and Advanced Amateur (MA1) players.. I know that some of the events actually filled (~72 players max).

Wow sounds like a good time. And 20 bucks for a tourney is pretty cheap. I'll have to get out there and play it and see how the whole winter series thing is.
