I'm from Utah, and have always pronounced it 'crick'. People make fun of me :(

We have little-to-no water hazards on our courses out here. There's one that plays over a dry ditch at Sunset, where the ditch is considered OB, but that's it.

Ditches, creeks, ravines, streams, brooks, a river, ponds, lakes... They all have their own little excitements.

Ditches....unless it rains, then they are creeks.

I prefer the sunny beaches in Mexico, but to answer the OPQ, no. There are a couple of culverts though, I guess, if that's what you call cement channels that run across the landscape, designed to carry water runoff to a drain ... They're not ditches or creeks ... visualthesaurus.com doesn't help here ...

I'm stumped. Guess I'll just have to cut out from work early and go chuck a few.

Ditches usually have no water in them, creeks usually do.
