Golden Hills DGC
Red - 170 ft
Blue - 241 ft
White - 241 ft
Elevation - 37 ft
01-20-2012, 11:09 AM
Form blue and white it looks like a straight uphill shot. With 37' of elevation it should play like 350'. I would probably throw a buzzz and try and keep it straight through the gap.
01-20-2012, 11:13 AM
Ion for short one and Axis for long two.
01-20-2012, 11:49 AM
Longs: Roc? Hard to see what's going on in the pic
01-20-2012, 11:53 AM
01-20-2012, 12:00 PM
I would probably go buzzz from any tee
01-20-2012, 12:06 PM
Squall from Blue and White, Glow Champ Aviar from Red.
01-20-2012, 12:08 PM
Buzzz all day
01-20-2012, 12:19 PM
buzz, and for the long tomahawk with teebird
01-20-2012, 12:23 PM
Disc up a bit and go Fuse for short, Pro Leo for longer
01-20-2012, 12:27 PM
GL core from the short, 12x eagle x for the long and as always, a banger gt to finish.
01-20-2012, 12:36 PM
Buzzz or wizard.
01-20-2012, 12:43 PM
From the looks of it from the red I'd throw a challenger, and from the longs I'd probably go wit ha comet.
01-20-2012, 12:44 PM
blues: roc +
so it's just straight up the hill then?
Fuse hyzer flip
River hyzer flip
fh something to get out of a bad lie after hitting X number of trees

01-20-2012, 01:28 PM
I think I threw a roc from the blue, would have thrown a wizard from the red.
01-20-2012, 01:34 PM
This is a fun course. My only regret is not taking any photos. Well, that and sweating out all the booze from the night before, but that wasn't the first time that happened (nor the last).
Star Stingray for all tees.
01-20-2012, 01:45 PM
01-20-2012, 01:47 PM
01-20-2012, 03:05 PM
GL fuse or axis, depending on how I'm throwing.
01-20-2012, 03:40 PM
Coyote for the short Leo for the longs.
01-20-2012, 03:50 PM
TL+ for both cause ill hit multiple trees
01-20-2012, 04:14 PM
Stalker or TL
01-20-2012, 04:47 PM
01-20-2012, 04:53 PM
Kc pro roc from all tees
01-20-2012, 05:03 PM
From the map it looks like it goes up and over. I'd probably throw something overstable and have it flex back so it would plow back into the hill at the foot of the pole.
What would actually happen, of course, is that my drive would immediately hit a tree and carom off to the right, ending up in the middle of whatever schule is down there and ultimately leading to a double bogey. :( Oh well, I'll make it up on the back nine ...
01-20-2012, 05:22 PM
z buzzz from all 3 just to stay in middle
01-20-2012, 05:34 PM
Yep, looks like up and over a hill. Gonna chuck my Z Pred in the world's worst thumber, then the Pred again to plow through a few trees, and Ion, Ion.
01-20-2012, 06:55 PM
Ion for all 3.
01-20-2012, 07:12 PM
Can people really throw an Ion or putter 240 feet with +37 feet elevation? Wow...I'd like to see that!
TL for me.
01-20-2012, 08:35 PM
01-20-2012, 08:58 PM
01-20-2012, 09:14 PM
Comet from short
JLS from long
01-20-2012, 11:03 PM
01-20-2012, 11:53 PM
Buzzz from them all. Maybe a wizard from shorts to not have the kick off the tree go to far.
01-21-2012, 04:54 PM
01-22-2012, 01:37 AM
I would like to say putter but that is a massive hill. I am going to disc up and throw something understable. Champ Cobra from the short, Champ Leopard or TL from the longs depending on the look...
01-23-2012, 03:00 PM
Short - Soft Magnet
Long- Z Buzz
This is one of my favorite course... of course, sadly, I haven't played it in four years since I was a noob.
Anyway, I remember this being one of my least favorite holes on the course. It just wasn't very inspired. I don't think that the elevation gain is so severe from the red tees.
In any case, today, I would probably throw Star Aviar Driver from the shorts and a Roc from the longs. It does depend on that vertical gain, though, so the longs might require an OLF.
01-23-2012, 11:35 PM
Confused by pic, I'll stick with a blue kc pro roc I guess...
02-20-2012, 12:17 PM
axis from red, teebird from the white and blue, and hope i don't go right
02-20-2012, 12:24 PM
Roc from short and long, but maybe an eagle hyzer flipped from long depending on the lane
02-20-2012, 12:31 PM
comet from short, maybe a trak or xl long. it looks like i should be discing up to throw slower, just in case.
02-20-2012, 12:49 PM
I've probably played this hole 50 or 60 times and have gotten a 2 on it 5 or 6 times. From the short tee it is a turn to the right after you throw straight uphill. The elevation change is probably in the 1st 75 ft. From the long its a pretty straight drive uphill. You have tight gaps to navigate on each throw or the disc will fly a 100ft backwards downhill behind you. I'll either throw a Nuke forehand for placement or attempt a FH roller for the 2.
