The course at Western Oregon University is being taken down so that new dorms can be built, but I am designing a new course around the school. Should I make the previous course extict? Or should I just ask timg to remove all the pictures and update the information?

I personally think that depends on how different the new course will be. If the new course is a totally different experience than the previous I think the old should be labeled extinct and the new course get its own info.

That's what I was thinking because the new dormitory is taking up half the area that the old course occupied.

Yeah, I'd just notify timg and give him info for the new site. Good idea man.

"Extinct" the old one, especially if there are reviews, pics, or scores logged on it and the new course is changing by half area/holes as you say.

Different course but on the same site. I would have the orig one marked as extinct because of the above statment.
