Looks good to me! It looks like a basket, and like it catches well, so nice work. I give it a 9.

Looks like you need to add a horizontal wire all the way around about halfway up the height of the basket to prevent discs from entering or exiting thru the sides.

I have been looking at this picture for 5 minutes. It is one of the best homemade baskets I have seen.
I agree with Cgkdisc, but don't ruin the aestetics, it's a sharp basket.
9 out of 10 for sure
What is the weight?

Here are the PDGA Tech Standards if you want to compare your target dimensions with the guidelines

Not bad at all. Looks like the what Steady Ed probably had first eninvisioned. Who knows maybe even first made and then fine tuned to what we know today.
Just need to add some wheels, and then wou wont hav to lug that thing around.

I don't see the flag either.
It looks like it's cleanly made but really heavy and perhaps easily broken. How well are those dowels mounted to the base of the basket?

i took a gass pipe line wire flag and put that on top, i never relised u could not see it. its leaning because i boulted it to the bottem plywood circle in stead of just screwing it. so the bolts are makeing it tip. and the dowels are screwed into the 3/4 in plywood on each end and glued/sealed.

Solid 8, i'm not keen on measurements but the basket base looks like the circumference is a little small

The basket design could be better for two reasons. And I'm not criticizing you because I have a better one, because I don't :p just some helpful stuff as i've seen in the past.
1) horizontal bar in center to keep discs from sllipping through (easy fix)
2) I've seen this on another homemade basket, the metal used on the basket is too sharp. They should be round or have guards on them, with a square edge like that they will eat up your putters like no other. The basket I've seen on them ended up leaving triangular notches in the side of all his practice putters.
All in all though, great looking basket
7.5 out of 10

I agree the basket could be a little more "tight" in order to keep discs is. But it was my understanding that the basket was made of wood. I'm not sure, but I think don't think should cause excess damage to putters. Maybe he could update us on how this works.
After seeing yours I'm interested in making one of my own. :)

Looks pretty awesome to me. I guess a second set of chains would be my only suggestion.
