My self and our local sports store are planning a fundraising tournament for Sept. 19th at Sunnybrook Park Wadena, MN.
This tournament would help raise funds for the local foodshelfs, and not to mention show the world what Disc Golf is all about. Plus the fact that we care about our fellow neghbors that allow us to play in their "backyards"
So far we will be having a payout to the winner, some door prizes from local business.
Entry fee is $10 or $5 if you bring in 2 non-perishable food items.
We'd be setting up 3 age groups; Under 12, 12-16, 16+ and they'd each have a handicap set to that age bracket.
Need some ideas on the above, plus some on the terms we'd have set forth which are as follow:
1.Church of Learning Ministries and the sponsors are not liable for any bodily injury, damage to personal property, or theft or lost property arising from this tournament. This includes but is not limited to: injury from thrown discs, trips and falls, damage to vehicles, lost items, etc.
2.Disqualification from or failure to complete the tournament for any reason, forfeits any chance to win the grand prize or other door prizes. No refund of entry fee will be given.
3.Tournament director has the right to postpone the event in the interest of safety, this includes severe weather. In the event of cancellation, refunds will be determined based on amount of time event has been in progress, and if prizes will be awarded upon such.
4.Anyone over the age of 16 will be subject to the Official Disc Golf Rules and Regulations, found at the Professional Disc Golf Associations website www.pdga.com
5.Based on age groups, players handicaps will be determined at the start of the event.
6.No late or incomplete entry forms will be allowed.
7.Registration starts at 8:00am Saturday September 19th, 2009 and tee off is at 9:30am.
8.Violations of any other laws or terms set forth by the tournament director will result in an immediate disqualification.
By signing this you agree to the above terms and conditions.
Make sure to set your calendars and if your in this neck of the woods swing on in. I'll also be posting a link here once I have my website updated with alot more details, and the registration forms.
Thanks in advance for the input.
