I played the two Paw Paw courses today...I had some business in No Va and drove two hours to check out these courses I wanted to play so badly after reading the reviews.
I chose not to write a review because how could I say anything better than the present reviews...
I really just wanted to say how awesome the courses are and what an amazing labor of love to the sport to have created these private courses...
I've played a number of private courses and have usually had my hopes somewhat dashed because I tend to believe the "hype" at times. (All the private courses I've played have been fun...a couple just didn't seem to live up to the "press releases")
These two courses live up to ALL the "press" and then some!

The 4 hour round trip was WAY worth it and I would encourage anyone within a few hours of Paw Paw for any reason to make the time to play these courses.

Hey Doktor -- Congrats on breaking the 200 course mark! Although I'm sure you were well past it already, having played a handful of extinct courses not listed on the site, as I have.

I'm happy for ya, but hey -- watch your back! I'm doing my best to catch up with ya sometime soon... just 11 behind... :-)

All in good fun. But seriously, you've bagged an impressive list of courses, and I'm glad to hear that Paw Paw IS all it's cracked up to be. I'll have to get down there one of these days. Good times.

The set-up is quite amazing there. Go relax in the pond after the Whippin' Post (to retrieve a bad drive you may have to). The dogs will show you around, no map or guide needed they take you to the next hole all day long. Bring water, food and expect to not be able to make a call.
