congrats to super-reviewer t i m for making the final 9 (only 4 players) in the open division at this year's west virginia open A tier. more details to follow i'm sure...

how is the final 9 only four players?

3 rounds followed by a showcase final 9 for the top 4 in the division. final 9 should always be only 1 group imo. point is to have people spectate. if you're going to let multiple groups in the final you may as well just have everyone play another round.

The final nine at the Soiree, it was two groups of 4, but most people watched the top four.
The Super 9 at Druid was the top 5 players and that was also lot of fun to watch.

And how about Craigg who finished just one stroke out of the final group of 4 for a 5th place finish?
And no, I'm not stalking you Craigg. It's just that when I first started playing, and played at The Woodshed for the first time in the Spring of 2007, the 2006 WV Open Leader Board (on the white board) was still filled in, laying against the wall in the barn. So the names stuck in my head as "locals" to me.
Actually, I think I'm making it worse and will shut up now. :eek:
